Started his career in 2001 at Fidelity International in London covering multiple sectors. In 2004, Mark joined Trafelet & Company UK LLP for the launch of Delta Fund Europe, which peaked at $2.5bn AUM in 2007. He worked in the investment team for five years, focusing on shorts and tech. In early 2009, Mark began investing full time in his best stock ideas, taking the unbelievable opportunity offered by the market after the financial crisis. He founded The Analyst as a free blog in 2010, and identified multiple frauds in the first year. The firm became regulated and has grown to become a market-leading and independent research firm, focusing on differentiated equity ideas, looking for longs that can double, and shorts that can halve. Currently, The Analyst serves over 50 institutional clients with European single stock idea generation and charges quarterly fees. There are 40-50 ideas, with half short, a research team of 7 analysts, and a completely unbiased approach to stock picking. We generate alpha for our clients.
